Thanks for visiting my web site and your interest in the Commercial Acting course. 

My emphasis during the six weeks is on the interpretation of commercial copy, as this is the bedrock on which all actors are judged by commercial agents and casting directors. When you go to many of the schools that offer “meet-and-greet” evenings, your ability to perform copy "correctly" will be the difference between making a good impression or not. (In Week 5 I do touch on improvisation, but learning how to perfect those skills is a six-week course unto itself.)

I would like to think that my approach to teaching is particularly actor-friendly. Too often in this business, agents and casting directors will try to make you feel that they are doing you a favor by even looking your way. They may be dismissive, intimidating, and in some cases abusive, in the misguided belief that you need them more than they need you. Nothing is further from the truth. Actors are the backbone of this industry; without them, agents and casting directors would simply not have jobs. In addition to giving you a solid technique with which to approach commercial auditions, I'll endeavor to instill in you the confidence and pride that you'll need to thrive and succeed in this sometimes difficult and crazy business.
